Todays trip to Publix was a crazy one.  They were super busy and then when i checked out the cashier got all my coupons mixed up while scanning them so he missed 5 of them for a total of $5.50.  Normally if it is just change I dont worry about it but $5.50 i had to go back to customer service and get my money back. (=  They were so nice about it and the cashier even apologized.

Todays trip to Publix was small, i wasnt really impressed with the ad and I am still trying to adjust to not being able to use Target coupons at my Publix.  ( I just moved to SC from FL)  At my Publix they double coupons up to $.50 and BOGO's ring up at half price each so you dont have to buy both items if you dont want to. This is what I got and how I did it:

Publix is having a 50% Kellogg's cereal sale today and tomorrow and I had 2 of the $5/5 Kelloggs coupons and also one of the $5/$30 Publix coupons.  I also went through the Yellow Advantage Buy Flyer and found a $3 of 24pk Publix water wyb 2 Kelloggs Special K cereal.  While picking out my Special K cereals i saw one had a coupon for FREE Special K protein porduct up to $6.99 so I was able to get the protein bars free.

Including the prices of the free items from the BOGO deals and adding in coupons I saved $104.89. ($39.88 of that was coupons)  Here is what I got and how I did it:

I had fun at Publix this morning because I had a friend (and fellow couponer) to shop with.  Sharing excitement over deals with someone who understands and enjoys it as much as I do (if not more) always makes grocery shopping a little more enjoyable. So thank you Hronn for making this grocery trip more fun and for the cereal coupons! Who knew that grocery shopping could be fun. It used to always feel like a chore to me until I started using coupons and figured out just how much I could save. Now it is kind of like a game, but a game I need to play in order to remain a stay at home mom.
