My Publix Trip 10/27 saved 40% spent $58.03

$58.03 for $109.07 worth of groceries


I went to Publix this morning as soon as they opened to be sure to get some of the deals I wanted before the shelves were cleared and I think I did pretty good.  The cashier  was shocked when she read off how much I had saved today. Including the prices of the free items from the BOGO deals and adding in coupons I saved $104.89. ($39.88 of that was coupons)  Here is what I got and how I did it:

My Publix trip 10/20 saved 56% spent $18.23


I had fun at Publix this morning because I had a friend (and fellow couponer) to shop with.  Sharing excitement over deals with someone who understands and enjoys it as much as I do (if not more) always makes grocery shopping a little more enjoyable. So thank you Hronn for making this grocery trip more fun and for the cereal coupons! Who knew that grocery shopping could be fun. It used to always feel like a chore to me until I started using coupons and figured out just how much I could save. Now it is kind of like a game, but a game I need to play in order to remain a stay at home mom. 

Todays trip was kind of small, but I still think I did pretty good.

CVS trip 10/9 saved 86%

Had fun doing my CVS trip today, the cashier was new and was learning how rolling EB's works.  She was amazed at how much you can save.  I could have saved a few dollars more if I would have done 4 transactions but I didnt want to overwhelm her and other customers were starting to show up.  I was also surprised to learn that the newspaper I usually get went up a quarter in orice but it is still cheaper than other local papers.   I started this trip off with $7 EB's and $6.83 on a gift card. Here is what I got and how I did it:

my publix trip 10/6 saved 49%

I didnt get to take a picture this evening, i decided to hit Publix after my daughters cheer practice and it was getting late by the time we got home, so i just put everything away.  I didnt do as well as I usually do, but I havent been grocery shopping in a while so we were desperately in need of some food. LOL i was really hoping that the Airwick candles wouldnt be wiped out but I knew they would be so I didnt get to take advantage of that deal but maybe next time. (=  I also had a good laugh with the cashier and bagger (2 high school age boys) who couldnt wait to see how much I saved and then the little boy who was waiting in line with his mom that said we were taking too long that he just wanted to pay for his candy. but when i told him i was sorry he politely said "thats ok, it is ok". I got another CVS gift card from my rewards points on my credit card, so I was excited to get to use it this morning.  It wasnt the best week for EB deals but there were some things I needed (shampoo&conditioner) and also some things I just wanted (m&m's).
